Portland Youth Film Festival

(Formerly Portland Children’s Film Festival)

April 27th-April 30th, 2016

Sponsored by the University of Southern Maine Tourism and Hospitality Program

The Portland Children’s Film Festival has formed a partnership with the University of Southern Maine and is reemerging in 2016 as the Portland Youth Film Festival!  Our ongoing mission is to educate and inspire Maine youth and their communities through the creation and exploration of film.

This year, we are inviting the community to select and screen films and retain all proceeds from these events.  We can help you with film selection, connecting with community partners, and advertising to make your film a huge success for your school or organization.   If you would like to host a screening for a school or group to be part of the festival, e-mail us at the address below and we will help you get started.

The PYFF will continue to host a school and community film screening with guest speaker on Wednesday April 27, 2016.  We will also host a day of short and feature films as well as our Young Filmmakers’ Contest Red Carpet Event on Saturday April 30, 2016.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page for ongoing Festival updates.  Check the Young Filmmakers’ Contest page for important rules and submission deadlines for the film contest.  Check the  Film  Schedule  page for updates on films and events.

Thanks for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at the festival!
